drank Mulled Cider Green Tea by 52teas

I’m pretty surprised this tea didn’t have an entry yet, unless I completely missed that?

I haven’t ever had mulled anything as far as I know, so I can’t speak for how it compares to the original, but this is definitely an interesting tea! As soon as I opened this bag, I got all kinds of sweet, fruity scents. Steeped up, this kinda smells like bubblegum honestly. I’m mostly getting an orange flavor, with a bubblegum aftertaste. What is it that’s causing that bubblegum flavor? Is it the mulled spices maybe?

I swear sometimes a certain combination of spices with orange peel ends up tasting like candy. I tend to get cola bottle gummy candies from that combination. When I used to work at Lush, even a couple of their spicy Christmas products would wind up smelling a little bit like cola (well, and they also tended to have patchouli in them too but that’s irrelevant here), and all my co-workers would agree. So crazy!

I’m pretty sure I’ve had at least one other tea that tasted unintentionally bubblegum to me, now I’m going to have to go see what was in that one and compare

I hope you’ll be able to figure it out, as I’m very curious. :)

Bio

I’ve lived in Hawaii, Mississippi, Colorado, Maryland, Texas, and California, and I’m currently in Oklahoma while the boyfriend gets his grad schooling on.

I’ve been into tea for about five years now and my favorite thing is that there is still so much to learn! I personally prefer black and oolong teas, though I love trying new teas whatever they may be.

I also knit quite a bit and sell things on my etsy when I’m not busy with school.
