Had a very nice po lei at Dim Sum this afternoon. Nice, standard loose shu. It was perfect for drinking and chatting.

The tail end of the third pot:

I don’t like this method… :( My poor Jin Pin…. You deserve better. You deserve to only be brewed in a gaiwan.

I ordered a sample of this from Yezi because apparently they do free samples. Anyway, looking forward to trying it. Not that you recommend it or would be interested in anyway. ;)

Oh! That’s exciting! I hope that you enjoy it! What other samples did you get?!

Silver Needle Bai Hao Yin Zhen White Tea and Dragon Well Master Grade Long Jing Green Tea. I have no idea if I’m going to like these. I tend to like every green I’ve ever tried but the others will be an experience.

Oh!! That’s great! The Silver Needle is absolutely amazing! And although, I haven’t tried the Master Grade Long Jing, I loved the High Grade. I will throw in some more green teas to your box. :)

Oh, please don’t! I’m sure you’ve been far too generous already!

I know that I’m not supposed to drink green tea… but, I just… I just had to. I am a Long Jing fanatic. If I had to choose my favorite green teas it would be Genmaicha, Long Jing, and then Gyokuro. I used to drink at least one of them every day when I was younger. Thus, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try this one (Thanks to LiberTEAS!).

It is wonderful. Grassy, light, crisp, pure, subtle, slightly nutty. Very long length. The aroma is similar to fresh, clean grass in a pristine meadow. The liquid was a very pale yellow-green. It is everything you want in a good Long Jing.

Hmm, tea and cookies! Yum!

It was an amazing cookie… I felt so guilty though… I actually just ended up making it my dinner. :p

Profile

Bio

Wolf girl. Writer. Artist. Gamer. Geek.

I joined Steepster back in August of 2009. Since then, I have been lurking around shyly and taken it all in. Just recently, I decided to log all of the teas that I have in my cupboard and from there I decided to be a bit more active on the site!

I’m addicted to four things: Tea, wolves, indie perfume, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

My favorite teas right now: Ming Hong and Halmonicha

Broadly speaking I also love: Most Chinese red teas, most Fujian oolongs, and balhyochas.

I’ve been drinking loose-leaf teas since childhood. I love everything from tieguanyin to gyokuro to a good British cuppa. I am looking forward to trying every tea type out there and building an extensive pu-erh library.
