257 Tasting Notes
This tea is my first experience with matcha. I expected it to be sweeter based on what I’ve read about matcha, but I don’t think I would call it sweet. I wasn’t crazy about it initially, but it’s grown on me since I’ve been drinking it daily. I won’t pass judgment on it yet, though, because I need more matcha experience. More coming in the mail soon—yay!
Preparation
I stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs a while ago when my brother was working there, and I quite liked this tea, which was among the teas provided in the rooms. He surprised me with a couple boxes of it that he, um, “acquired.” I didn’t ask; he didn’t tell. :P
This is one of the few fruity teas I actually like. Tastes best with some honey.
A nice loose-leaf peppermint tisane. I originally bought it to blend my own Moroccan mint, but I’ve been drinking it alone lately because I’ve been cutting back on caffeine. I brew it pretty strong, and I like to steep it for quite a while. It’s getting a bit old, so that’s probably why I need to use more leaf.
