My friend went to Paris, Vienna, Berlin, Prague, and finally: Dublin. Before she left, I decided to ask if she and her husband could get me some Irish tea, straight from Dublin. They do not know very much about tea, so I told them to get me a strong, good quality, black tea that I could enjoy in the mornings. Sure enough, when they came back, they brought this to me. I was very excited about this tea, and was looking forward to receiving it. The very next morning, I brewed the tea for about 5 minutes. It was not a loose leaf tea, which slightly disappointed me, but it tasted good nevertheless.
The tea itself smelled malty like Assam, and yet almost sweet. The brew satisfied me. It tasted better than most bagged teas I’ve tried. It tasted as it smelled: malty, and briskly sweet, and it was as strong as a breakfast tea should be. I liked this tea, and I appreciate that my friend took the time to bring it back from Dublin.

This tea is not the best, but certainly tastes better than Lipton’s “teas”. At the store, I noticed that a white, slimy liquid formed at the bottom of most bottles. I grabbed the only one without the strange formation. The taste was over all good, however, it was not brewed to the strength I usually like. The tea could have been better, but it satisfied my thirst for the moment.

Earl Grey is my favorite tea. That’s why my family bought me this lovely tea. I had tried it long ago, and couldn’t remember the name. Thank goodness for family giving it to me again! The tea leaves are of a better quality than that of other “Sacheted” teas. The aroma of Bergamot was quite strong as well. However, the brewed tea itself was not very strong, and was actually weak. Aside from this, the tea was well rounded, not very malty, and over all a mild-tasting Earl Grey. I would get this tea again, however, it is not my favorite Earl Grey.

This was another tea which I received for my birthday. The flavor is very smoky, but the smell is that of a Keemun. The leaves had a golden hue to them, similar to high quality Assam. The first time I brewed the tea, I remember thinking it wasn’t strong enough. However, the second time, I remember loving the flavor strength. It seemed to variate between a nice, smoky, muscatel flavor, and a fruity, mild Assam. As the flavor seemed to change with every cup, I realized that I really liked this tea. The best time which this tea serves me is in the morning. That’s when I need a strong breakfast tea. However, though this tea is strong, it is quite smooth. The leaves are also of a great quality. I think I’ll order this one again, just like some of the other Birthday teas I’ve gotten this year.

I have only tried several China Famous Green Teas. This is one of the best ones I’ve tried. However, the flavor was very vegetal, and light. The aroma was very good with this tea, and I enjoyed the different look of the flattened leaves. However, I was disappointed that this tea only came in 0.5 oz. I was also very confused as to how much tea leaves to brew, as the leaves were larger than normal (and much more flat & brittle). Despite this, I enjoyed the tea. It was quite new, and refreshing. I would recommend this tea for Green Tea lovers.

I love drinking Assam teas- especially when “Tippy” is in the name. When I saw the golden tin, I was excited to discover the tea inside. The color of the leaves was just as the name describes: Golden. The tea itself definitely tasted like an Assam, but with a different undertone; It is hard to describe. It was lighter than most Assams, and not as earthy. The brewed tea was a nice amber-gold color which is new to me for most black teas. Over all, the tea was excellent, and I will be getting this again.

I was very pleased with this tea. My birthday recently passed, and I was given a number of teas from different companies. I decided to try this one first. The name in and of itself sounded good, and the leaves produced an even more awesome brew. The leaves smelled sweet, and earthy (but not too earthy!). For a long time now, I’ve been waiting for a green tea like this one. The brew was light-colored; a yellow-green. And the smell was almost identical to that of the leaves. As for the taste: it was not earthy at all. It had a natural sweetness to it, and a very great “green tea” flavour. It was the perfect thing to drink this evening. I’m so glad I received this tea as a gift, and I will most certainly buy it from Teavana before I’m even done with it.

I haven’t been logging lately, due to doctor’s appointments, and vacation time. But now, it’s time to start again. I had this earl grey at a different beach than where I usually am. It was very nice, and definitely helped with the beauty of Cambria’s ocean. The bergamot essence was very nice, and I enjoyed the unique flavor of this earl grey. Though I would have preferred it to be full leaf tea. The next time I visit Cambria, I will drink this tea.

I am glad I have Bodum cups to watch these teas flower in. I was so excited to finally try these, after every time I passed them by in the store. It takes a little while to finally see them open up, but once they do, it’s quite a sight to see. The flavor is not as strong as I would like, but tastes like a typical green tea. The flowering show was better than the actual brew, but nonetheless I was pleased to have tried them.

I probably shouldn’t be having tea so late in the evening. However, I just couldn’t resist. This is a very good blend of Assam teas. Nice, and strong. I’ll be enjoying this tomorrow morning.

I love drinking and reviewing tea. Green, Oolong, Black, White, Yellow, Dark, Pu-erh… It’s all great. In particular, my favorites are Taiping Hou Kui, and Aged Teas.

I’m currently in California, and started my interest in tea at a very young age. Ever since, I’ve looked for exotic, rare, and even newly-developed teas to try.

It doesn’t end there: I’ll try just about any tea new to me that crosses my path.

I typically brew tea in a traditional manner (different teas require different steeping times and water temperatures, ect…). Whichever directions are on the packaging or website, I tend to follow as well.

I’m also building a private collection of Pu-Erh teas and teas good for Aging. Hopefully, they’ll turn out nice.

Companies: If you are looking for a reviewer for tea, I would be happy to sample any of the teas you offer.

Message me for Sample swapping.
