1497 Tasting Notes
I know I’ve had this, I know I’ve reviewed it, and yet…. nada. I remember as being not so much like an after eight (mint chocolate) and more like, well, rooibos. Dunno any more though, it’s been so long, and I shared it with someone else. Ah well, hope they love it!
Not sure anyone would drink this other than, well, if they’re under the weather. Which is when I did. Definitely felt better after, although I don’t remember it tasting like much, other than… herbal. A touch sweet.
Handmade in a really tiny tea house in Cranbrook, BC. No internet site, just a phone number, and a ton of awards from local country fairs for her teas and jams.
Flavors: Herbs, Sweet
Preparation
So… uh…. TMI alert…. this tea does wonders for when Aunt Flo’s visiting, and she’s more than you can handle. New discovery!
Kind of reminds me of Twining’s Buttermint, but it’s easier to find here. :P Still, not that easy, but, tasty enough and with enough in my cupboard that it’ll do me! Yay…. minty vanilla, who knew I’d love you so much.
Flavors: Candy, Mint, Vanilla
Preparation
need to place an order with them someday if i ever get back to tea control lol. no more travelling for me to tea places! haha
The young man who owns this company went to our church years ago. His family is so nice, and his mom just wrote a book. I think it is called From Wedding Bells to Hand Grenades. It is all about being an army wife. Her name is Nicole Lee if you want to look up the book!
Thank you, whomever posted the right pic for this tea! I always get it mixed up with the Cara McGee version on Steepster (and this one, I like more). Today however it just wasn’t it’s normal AMAZING self – I may be getting sick, this is usually my first sign, that few teas appeal or taste good suddenly. Sigh.
Cooled however, this was almost it’s normal amazing self. Almost….
Preparation
This is my comfort, go-to tea, and I now buy it in batches of 100g whenever there’s a sale. I’ve missed you Cold 911, even when I’m feeling well… you just rock my casbah.
Preparation
Steeped this all night, downed it this morning, trying to fight off a tickle in my throat.
This is THE tea from WP that I’d order in ridiculous amounts, and it was never enough. I could drink it every day, it’s spicy and rough and tumble, blunt, this-is-how-it-is tea. In your face tea. I AM IN CHARGE TEA! I own you, tea. Yes, I love this stuff, because it’s so akin to my personality (which is to say, a bit abrasive with a lot of spice and passion).
This version of the tea (which I ordered prior to my six month exploration of Europe, but it only got here after I left) is VERY different to the versions I’ve had in the past. This version, and I don’t know what’s changed, is dark, dark purple, almost black. It tastes strongly of molasses and little else. I still drink it, I still feel amazeballs, but it’s less — me — than it was in the past.
