Well I cold-brewed it for quite awhile, 14 hours at least, and the bitterness and astringency are both definitely gone. Unfortunately, so is most of the flavour… The creaminess kind of comes out in the finish I guess, but otherwise it’s kind of like strawberry-scented water. I put in a good amount of leaf but maybe I’ll try it with even more. And I’ll try it brewed double strong then poured over ice too. I want to make this work!!!

Ok, so the black tea cold-brewed ok? I was wondering about that but didn’t yet make it back to your post to comment about it. Perhaps I’ll try it with a small amount myself.
Yeah I think the tea itself was just fine, there was absolutely NO astringency or bitterness. This is the only black tea I’ve cold-brewed so far though. And Tina I am definitely gonna try cold brewing some white teas soon!

Black teas are my favourite to cold brew, Krystaleyn! They and whites both thrive that way.
