I got to try some of this thanks to DaisyChubb. It is fantastic! There are copious amounts of pineapple and coconut in the mix. I have to admit, the dry smell reminded me of vomit. But I pushed forward and was rewarded with a delicious fruity and creamy drink. Yummy! I love the smooth coconut flavor. Half way through my cup, I added sugar and evaporated milk. Wow! I felt so guilty having a creamy sweet dessert for breakfast. But wait! It’s just a cup of tea. whew! Next time, I have to get some coconut milk and add that instead of regular milk.

Afterwards, I tried to eat the pineapple bits. Not bad! :)

This is the first tea I tried from the array of samples sent to me by DaisyChubb. I haven’t had a good history with rooibus, but this one was alright. It tastes very maple-y and sweet. I kept thinking I should be having pancakes outdoors with a hot cup of this. The little maple sprinkles were really cute! I like it. Of course there’s still that rooibus (medicinal) flavor that I’m not in love with, but maybe we’ll get there one day. Things are looking up!
Nothing beats real tea, but this rooibus is really pleasant!

I love fall and winter for one thing. Hot tea. sure, you can have hot tea any time of year, but it tastes best when it’s cold outside. And iced tea is great, but it’s not comforting. Today is chilly and windy and I’m drinking hot tea by the potful! I am so comforted right now.

This tea is fabulous. The strawberry flavor is so fresh and juicy. The flavor is like strawberry candy more than real berry, but the clean fresh flavor of the green tea makes the strawberry taste more real and not cloying. Yummy! I love this! Of course, I also love strawberry flavored candies. I love strawberry in all it’s incarnations, actually.

There’s a slight astringency at the end of the sip, but it barely diminishes the tastiness.

I bet this would be really good mixed with some lemongrass. I have to buy some of this!

I should have let the third steep sit longer before drinking it. Ah well. Mild but good. The forth steep is still creamy smooth. Astringency is gone. I know this tastes floral but I can’t really tell what kind of flower I’m tasting. And the apricot flavor comes out in the later steeps. Really good!

I’m checking out the unfurled leaves here and they are all two leaves and a bud. This may explain the caffeine I’m feeling. Maybe.

I’m gonna go for a fifth steep later this evening. That’s probably the last steep these leaves can take. I’m so glad I took a chance and ordered from here. Try it people!

This tea is delicious! Wow! I’m surprised this tea company isn’t on Steepster’s database if this is the quality of tea they produce. Mmmm…I got a couple of other samples from this company so I’ll probably be populating Steepster with my logs on this company. :)

Anyway, on to the tea! THe smell of the dry leaves is yummy. It smells smooth and floral and creamy. I rinsed the leaves. First steep was delectable. Green and smooth. There’s a milky quality to it with a slight astringent finish. Very yums! Second steep is more smooth and creamy. I’ll report back on the other steeps later.

I don’t know why I’ve been drinking this so much. I guess I’ve been it the mood for something toasty. I added a pinch of vanilla honeybush and it took on a vaguely chocolate taste. Vanilla Is awesome.
Oh no! My cup is empty! Time for a refill. :)

Now I know why this tastes so familiar! This tastes like roasted barley tea!

The dry leaves are a lovely combination of texture and color. I love the cute little downy balls contrasting with the more mature straight leaves. There’s strands of some yellow petal (marigold?) and little nuggets of orange rind. And for accent, jasmine buds are scattered about. It’s art, people!
It also smells wonderful, there’s the perfume-y fragrance of jasmine with the more lively spark of citrus, all mingled with the sweet grassy scent of a quality green tea.

The brewed liquor is an amber yellow. The taste is light and smooth but also surprising and pleasantly familiar. At first, the citrus and jasmine green flavors don’t seem to blend well together, but they really do. The flavors go back and forth on the tongue and stays interesting all the way to the bottom of the cup.

I think I probably didn’t use enough leaf, but that will be remedied with the 2nd steep by using less water.

Mmm, tasty! It smells like a cookie! The taste is nice and subtle. Coriander really goes well with citrus-y flavors. It almost tastes like there’s vanilla in there. It’s so smooth and nutty! I can barely taste the white tea base but that’s ok. It’s still yummy.
I wonder though…the ingredients say “red pepper flakes” but aren’t these pink peppercorns? or even red peppercorns (if these exist)? There are peppercorns of some sort but they are not mentioned in the ingredients. Hmm…

Anyway! Can’t wait for the second infusion!

I am sad. This is my first first flavored oolong and it was only ok. I think the hibiscus ruined it for me. It seemed overpowering and flavor seemed more apple than pear. Though I must say, the fruit flavor was very natural.
The oolong base was woody and darker than I liked.
I’m glad to have sampled it but I’m not sure about future flavored oolongs.
