32 Tasting Notes
Ok, I’m on the 2nd steep for this one. A few more notes, it seems to have an oil slick that sits on top of the steeped tea. It’s also quite cloudy. The scent is pretty green. I guess if you have in mind that you should be smelling pineapple and walnut, you can will your mind to smell them. I don’t.
The taste is ok, like a nutty green tea. But it still isn’t my favourite as nut teas go.
Flavors: Green, Nutty
Preparation
My coworker gave me a sample of this one. It’s not as good as Forever Nutty. I was reading reviews on this one and someone mentioned it smelling more like almonds, I certainly wouldn’t say that. But at the same time I don’t think it smells or tastes like toasted walnuts either. I could really go either way on this one. The smell is a tad bit stronger than the flavour which I found to be weak.
Preparation
This one tastes very similar to the New English Tea Company version of English Breakfast. I always drink it with milk and sugar. To be honest, I can’t really tell a difference in flavour much. It might taste a bit fresher? Bolder?
All I know is, the tea leaf pieces are bigger and more recognizable as tea leaves than the New English Tea Co. which are little brown bits by the look of it. So I like that.
Preparation
I find pit fruit flavours go well with white teas. Some find they either love it or hate it, my palate LOVES it. Peaches n Cream by Sloane is another good one, but it’s harder to find I think because it’s an Indigo/Chapters exclusive.
This one is a bit more floral than the Sloane one and you can’t over steep it or it gets bitter, so keep an eye on it when brewing!! ;)
Flavors: Floral, Green, Hibiscus, Jasmine, Peach
Preparation
I always worry about mint teas (or even mixed drinks with mint flavours in it) because the mint always overpowers everything else. Not in this case!
Even when you smell it, it smells like its going to be too much, but the balance is quite nice actually. A very clean taste, palate-cleansing, but with some coconut flavour behind it.
The flakes are super fine in this though, so I always have to make sure to use my fine-mesh filter as I hate floaty bits in my tea. ;)
Flavors: Coconut, Mint
Preparation
I thought it was pretty crazy putting nuts in tea. Then I tried this. HOLY CRAP. It’s really, REALLY good. I’ve had a few nut teas since and this is still my favourite.
The pink tint to the tea from the beetroot is a bit odd at first, but the flavour will blast away any odd thoughts.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Nuts
