What a rotten day! I’m just getting over a cold and work was terrible. hubby is cranky, which he emanates crankiness. Even while we picked out a christmas tree he STILL acted cranky. I was incredibly happy to receive ALL my butiki teas today.
I sent him out for sushi with his friends, not my daughter and I are waiting for the tree to warm up and relax while enjoying for Creamy Eggnog Tea. I’ve had two cups and it is just what the doctor ordered!
It does taste like vanilla cake batter! The green base hops through in the aftertaste. Very yummy!

Things will get better, it’s one of those end of the week need to rest syndromes probably. A tree and rest will hopefully reset the happiness.

BoxerMama

I hope so! Tomorrow is my friday.

I decided that this one would be good when you’re sick. I am DEFINITELY sick! I woe up in a mad, cranky rush this morning with no time to process it. Then once I was at work I felt terrible. I really have zero tastebuds right now. I put some honey in here and I can taste citrus.

Hello, heaven!
Red Leaf ships seriously fast! I ordered this on Black Friday and they shipped the next day. Considering I’m in Canada this is crazy fast! I obviously had to make a cup. i jumped the gun though. I assumed it needed agave and milk and I obliterated the flavour.
I ordered royal grade with “there’s matcha in there?” flavour level. I taste no cheesecake. Will try it again soon.

Indigobloom

bahumbug! I ordered mine on black Friday as well. In a suburb of Toronto and still haven’t gotten mine. Impatient here…

BoxerMama

lol, I’m in NWO you should get your tomorrow I would think!

Indigobloom

Fingers crossed!

Day 3 of 24 days of tea!
I tend to not be into chai and this one burns my lips. If it didn’t burn my lips I might enjoy it.

YAY! 100TH TASTING NOTE!
I was hoping for something more epic, but why not just make it an old go to? This is my perfect tea for a clean, quiet house. Nothing to do and no one to bug me! Sweet, fruity and creamy.
I want to bake cookies and my tea is getting cold. . . so much for my moment. lol

I’m bored it my collection again and anxious for my black friday arrivals. Sip down! I had some of this yesterday and I didn’t actually remember liking it this much! Ginger-y goodness!

KeenTeaThyme

This is one I’ve got to try! I’m trying to be good and not buy DT, but I may give in…

BoxerMama

LOL! I thought i didn’t like it and it’s been sitting on my shelf since the summer. My taste buds have changed and I love it now!

I stole a sample of this from the traveling tea box. I figured if I liked it I could just go buy some.
I wont be buying it, it’s not terrible, but it came out incredibly astringent after a 3 minute steep.

24 Days of Tea Day #2!
Another one I had never tried, I always go for jumpy monkey. I started drinking this cup, sipping away and got completely distracted online shopping and now that it’s 3/4 gone here I am!
I expected it to be too sweet. I find mate to be naturally sweet, almost to a fault. But when I tasted it, it was slightly bland. I added a bit of milk and sugar and now we’re back in business.
I know it raspberry, but everything combined almost tastes more banana-y to me. It’s good, but I wont stock it.

200 °F / 93 °C 5 min, 0 sec

Decided to have a cup of this tonight, which means Miss Rally Rims also needed a cup. I love it, but it always gives me a headache. I have no idea why.

Back Log from last weekend.
How can a tea that smells so good, taste so bad?
How can a tea that tastes so bad have such a high rating? I LOVE Puerh, this one turned my stomach. I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth or the smell out of my timolino for hours! I feel like rotting leaves steeped in boiling water would be the equivalent. I’m feeling like I must have meesed something up seeing as how everyone seems to love it. I’m not sure I’ll give it a seond chance even though I have some left. :(

I despise this. The herb used to give it the sticky rice flavor and I do not get along. It and cilantro are my mortal enemies.

KittyLovesTea

I have this in my collection and now I’m not looking forward to drinking it. :( Good thing it’s only 3 samples.

Will Work For Tea

I’m with you on your thoughts “How can a tea that smells so good, taste so bad?
How can a tea that tastes so bad have such a high rating?” Still puzzles me and is taking up precious cupboard space…

BoxerMama

I felt like it was rotten. I need to get rid of it and I can’t just throw it away, I can’t throw away tea.

KittyLovesTea

Hmmm….if this tea smells nice yet is undrinkable then perhaps it would be suitable to make incense with?

Will Work For Tea

@ BoxerMama: I feel the same way, which is why I’m housing the small amount that I have… If just smelling it would be enough. :)

BoxerMama

I have no idea how to make incense. If it tasted how it smelled it would probably be one of my favourites. If you would like to try it, I would be happy to send some your way.

Indigobloom

I love this one, and cilantro… Maybe it’s related?

momo

I was thinking it was related. But there isn’t too much info out there on the herb in here, to the point I can never remember its name.

ashmanra

There is a tea company, perhaps purepuer.com or someone?, who sells tea fragrancers. It is like a Scentsy light or something, Yankee Candle makes and sells them, too, and you usually burn wax tarts in them, but they sell theirs for putting your favorite tea leaves and a bit of water in, and as the candle warms it the tea scents your house. I was surprised to see it because I didn’t think the aroma would be strong enough to warrant a warmer.

CrowKettle

I’d be more than willing to take this off your hand if it has any connection to cilantro ;)

BoxerMama

Crow, pm me your address! It’s all yours!

Bio

There are few things in life that I enjoy more than a good cup of tea and the company of my dogs.
I’m a down to earth person very true to my Virgo roots. I own two Boxers, Octane (male, 6 years) and Rally Rims (female, 3 years). I do not breed or show, they are an integral part of my family. I also have a loving husband in the Canadian Military and a beautiful daughter who amazes me with her wit and intelligence everyday.
I love Autumn, for it’s colour, smell and general ambiance.
I’m just a girl, looking for a good cup of tea.
