Roasted cocoa beans and berries in aroma, warming and mostly natural.
Sourish/sweetish taste, a lot of berries in a bit of roasted cocoa in the background.
Not bad, not overly good.

My grandmother gave me a few bags of this one last time I visited her and told me she loves it so I tried it. I couldn’t really taste the green tea, I suppose it serves more as a base for the flavours, but I didn’t mind because the orange-ginger combination works well together. It’s a really warm flavour and as an after-dinner treat it’s pretty nice. I don’t think I’ll be buying it again since the same brand also sells unflavoured green tea, but it’s a nice tea to end the day after a heavy dinner.

drank Earl grey by Lord Nelson

This Earl Grey is my current morning drink and I’m very happy with it. It does the job really well: it’s a nice, well-rounded tea and it’s both refreshing and comforting. I expect it to make me ready for the day and that’s what it does. It’s also pretty cheap (and thus affordable in big quantities when you want to make sure you’re not going to run out of tea) and they sell it at my local supermarket.
Bonus: if you steep it for long enough it turns into an acceptable alternative to English Breakfast. And since it’s cheap you won’t feel bad about wasting a bag of Earl Grey.

Prepared this one again and… well okay I guess?

Green tea is, as I said in previous tasting note, very stale, boring and hay like. Melissa made it it earthy and lemon peel bit refreshing.

Overall very average though.

As “Green tea Melissa and Lemon” but ingredients are same.

Bought a box of 20 pyramid sachets as we are low in greens, and this sounded actually pretty good.

It’s drinkable. Tea is not fresh at all, it’s very grass seed like and hay/straw like. Luckily, Melissa is making the tea somehow bit earthy and more green tea like. Lemon zest is nicely refreshing. So far no rating, as I have used very hot water(just boiling) as I was too lazy to wait (and I have 19 tea bags left)

Lidl tea? :) Not bad in this price range.

Martin Bednář

Yep, from Lidl dreamloomer.

Worth the price probably :) But I wasn’t that impressed as I thought.

Some sachet from family cupboard. Apparently from Lidl store, and apparently good ingredients. Just tea and mint. Nothing more! Great job guys.

I woke up with headache, my brain is still processing yesterday incident on railway I was, unfortunately, involved in. My train did not stop at stop signal and endangered another train which my train should let pass. Who knows what was the reason, there was a major thunderstorm, maybe the engineer checked wrong signal, maybe it did not brake correctly because of the water on rails, but luckily, there was no crash. The second train (the endagered) was way lighter so it brakes much better. If we were 10-20 metres further, second train did not stop, I would be injured at least. Oww.

The tea…
I used too hot water but it does not change it much. It is really minty, refreshing, and tea base is present too. It is not top-notch green tea, it is rather like some hay only, but that is okay.

Good considering the price. And I really enjoy the ingredients. Only mint and tea. Why to add something else?

Nice aroma of lemon peel, melissa and grass-straw notes from the green tea.
A lot of lemon peel in the taste, solid portion of melissa and strong green tea body.
Pretty good for a cheap market-brand tea.

Oh, already 8 am? I woke up hour and half earlier. Meh.
Slow start of the day. And simple tea. Just a tea bag of green tea. At least it is with lemon.

+- 90°C water (I know, I know), 3 and half minute steep. Cloudy, yellow-green liquor.

In aroma it is really lemony. Bit like lemon juice. And on taste? It is similar. And bit of bitter aftertaste. I oversteeped it? I used too hot water?

In conclusion – for the price fair tea. There is bit of grassy notes, but – not so much. Much more lemon tastes, lemon peel taste too. Maybe it is actually kind of nice surprise it was not so bad.

I love hearing everyone’s song pairings lately! Such diverse musical tastes – but a great way to experience more music.

Prepared in thermos as I was in hurry and I had to leave. So bit unusal review.

Basic green tea, which is almost unnoticable, followed by fresh orange flavour and and little bit of spicy – probably ginger.

For the price it certainly makes the job, warms inside – as there is ginger, but dominant orange flavours which made this tea nice and mellow. Nothing extra, but better than expected.

Poor quality base green tea, strong astringency, very low lemongrass and lemon peel aroma (and adding lemon peel to “enhance” the sparsely used lemongrass is pathetic). Never again.

Nice combination of subtle orange and grassy/straw notes of green tea, with delicate honey flavour in the background. Warming and refreshing.
In taste the base green tea (not bad for a tea bag) is dominant. The gingery spicyness is almost nonexistant, orange notes are subtle.
Not bad, but I expected more.

drank Waldzauber by Lord Nelson

I received this bag of tea from a tea swap (well it ended up being a tea swap) on reddit. Between the purple wrapper and the fact that my husband got to haul out his rusty German for the translating, I knew this was going to be fun.

These artificial flavors are really taking me back to my childhood lately. This bag smelled like that 80s and 90s grape flavor that was everywhere until manufacturers started realizing that no one but I liked grape flavored things.

Brewing it up, and it’s red. Red red. I’m pretty sure this is an herbal tea from the smell and color, but my first taste pretty much confirms it. Although there is no cranberry in this tea according to what I looked up, I’m pretty sure I’ve just brewed up a cup of hot Ocean Spray unsweetened cranberry juice, complete with the sour dryness on the back of the palate that you get when you drink unsweetened cranberry juice.

Some sugar fixed me right up, and now I’m happily sipping away at my hot cranberry juice. There aren’t a lot of non-caffeinated teas that I like, but this is surprisingly one of them.

Dark red colour.
Aroma dominated by hibiscus with only a bit of orange, quite bland and one dimensional.
Slightly sour in taste, with distinct hibiscus notes and nice ginger spicyness.
Generally not bad for a fruit tea, but it definitely should be called “Hibiscus & Ginger”…

A friend of mine gave me some tea bags to taste it and I loved a lot. Is a light, flavored tea, perfect for a break in the afternoon or a winter breakfast. You can feel both the ginger and the orange. Personally I don’t add any sugar.
