A Touch of Tea

Something about this Monstrositea July box sample made me think it’d go just nicely as a cold brew, after I’d already enjoyed two delicious hot mugs of it.

Turns out I was right! The cold steep has a sweet pink blush and some great flavours to it. Plus it’s fun checking out the swollen cardamom pods after 12hrs of steeping.

This is definitely my favourite from this month’s offerings. I don’t mind straight black teas but more flavours are my jam.

I am kinda crazy about the first tea from the Monstrositea July box.

I love a good caffeine-free evening option and I’m also a sucker for a placebo like the “calming effects” touted with this. I’m a skeptic but I want to believe. In any case, it’s a pretty great blend of ingredients done well enough that I don’t even pick up on any obnoxious licorice root flavour—normally it overwhelms my tastebuds. It’s got me saying ooh, girl.

It’s got licorice and I don’t hate it.
